Moguls, the downfall of a skiers confidence.
So I was having a perfectly good day at the slopes. 35 degrees outside, sunny, doing well out there, and then one wrong turn on my last run and WHAM. No more great last run before the ride home.
I went on my first black at Copper, which met up with a super fun blue called Oh No. It was late in the day so I decided to go down Oh No again and make it my last run. I figured out how to start at Oh No and I was off. Well I ended up turning down like the worst run of moguls on the who stankin mountain. It was insane. I was "skiing" down it for like 30-45 minutes, WITHOUT SEEING ANOTHER HUMAN. Even the good skiers at Copper avoid this run. About halfway down I just skied into the woods (on purpose), laid down so that my face would not melt off (oh, I didn't mention that I forgot my sunscreen for the first time).
Moral of the story.....Don't get cocky skiing or you face will melt off and every bone in your body will ache.
And by the way, I still love CO. Can't get this weather or scenery anywhere else.
