The Knouse House

So I made our first house payment today. It felt good to know that we own our own home....or at least $50 of it. Dadgum interest.

Google X

Google X is a project that was originally created by Google Labs and was yanked pretty soon after it was created. It has a similar feel to the Mac OS X toolbar. Cool concept, I guess they were afraid of getting sued... Well some frenchman was nice enough to clone it, so give it a look.

In other news, the NCAA tourney is on, it is looking like I may end up in the celler of my league, losing to the likes of my boy patty; hopefully my braket will improve slightly to salvage me some dignity.

AI Rules!

So Sherrah and Janet came over tonight for the America Idol party. It was fun. Idol is much more fun in a group (no thanks to Matthew :)

We are looking forward to the weekend, with Camp (the campsite is too embarrasing to link to..no offense, but it is terrible) folk coming into town for a wedding...it should be a lot of fun.

I need to pick my favorite American Idol...maybe Carrie or Anwar....or maybe someone else. I am not really sure yet.

Use your (geeky) powers for the good!

So I joined the World Grid Project, which uses your home computer's power to crunch number in order to help fight disease and look for the cure for things like cancer, and currently, the Human Proteome Folding Project....which Janet can tell you about. It is a cool way to use your computer's power to help a good cause. You can also set it up to run while you are not at work or home, so that it will not interfear with your work!

And in my constantly competitve way, you can join a Team, like Texas A&M and kick some Proteome (whatever that means) bootie!

Join the team or else!
